| Welcome . . . Today, good health is best achieved using a combination of conventional and holistic treatments. Complementary therapies can encourage our bodies to harness their own natural healing ability. They promote relaxation, rid us of harmful toxins, help to rebalance the delicate systems of the body and bring relief from a wide range of conditions. Nichola is an experienced counsellor and complementary therapist, integratively practising reflexology, auricular acupuncture and hypnotherapy, with a special interest in women's health & sub-fertility, migraines and headaches and anxiety related conditions This website has been designed to provide you with information on the therapies available, and how to access treatment, as well as details about Nichola; her qualifications and experience. You will also find information regarding forthcoming Usui Reiki courses and mindfulness workshops. Alternatively, you may be a practising complementary therapist wishing to attend our monthly supportive group supervision.
About Nichola I worked for over thirteen years professionally with children and young people, before changing direction in 2004 and training as a complementary therapist. During this time I've worked vith a variety of acute and chronic conditions, as well as undertaking extensive work in the field of women's health, sub-fertility and supportive IVF. In 2007, in response to my growing awareness of the complex and subtle connections between mind and body I completed my training as a hypnotherapist and laterly, in 2010, I qualified as a professional counsellor. As well as running a busy private practice, I provide counselling for a busy G.P. practice, in addition to facilitating regular mindfulness and reiki workshops. I have previously facilitated one-to-one play therapy sessions for a national organisation working with emotionally vulnerable infant school children, and group acupuncture sessions within a drug and alcohol service. I'm currently engaged in developing the first CPD course of it's kind for qualified reflexologists who wish to work integratively within the field of sub-fertilty and supportive IVF. My own training as a complementary therapist began soon after I successfully received both reflexology and acupuncture, in order to correct a hormonal imbalance. I continue to be impressed by the healing power of holistic medicine and the transformation integrated therapies can bring to my clients health and wellbeing. I look forward to meeting you.
