Reiki Healing Reiki is a gentle form of healing originating in Japan.  The word Reiki consists of two Japanese Kanji and translates as "spiritual life force energy.  Reiki was discovered by a Japanese Buddhist, Dr Mikao Usui in the early 1900s.  Reiki is a safe, gentle form of healing which works on  many levels. The Reiki practitioner is used as a channel for the life force energy.  The life force energy, or Ki (known as Qi in China and Prana in India), flows through us, along pathways called meridians and keep us healthy.  When the flow of Ki is disrupted or blocked our healthy balance or homeostasis is disrupted and we become ill.  Reiki is a subtle, deely relaxing form of healing, performed with the client fully clothed, usually lying down.  The Reiki practitioner places her hands on or near the client and allows the energy to pass through her and on to the client.  The energy helps to clear blockages and restore balance, therefore improving health and wellbeing.

                                                                                                                                                                     

Traditional Usui Reiki Courses  The system known today as Reiki was originally known as Usui Shiki Ryoho or The Usui System of Natural Healing, and the emphasis was very much on personal spiritual development and self healing.  Reiki is a simple, yet powerful technique which can be easily learned and requires no previous skills or qualifications.  Reiki enables the practitioner not only to self heal on many levels, but is also an invaluable tool in self development and spiritual growth.  Reiki is a universal spiritual energy and as such is not connected to any religion or belief system, but embrace and enhances all belief systems.

The Three Levels of Reiki Training Shoden ~ Reiki 1st Degree     The shoden course enables the student to self heal on many levels.  Healing can also be given to friends and family.  We will cover meditations and techniques such as The Gassho Meditation, Joshin Kukyu Ho, Byosan Reikan Ho (scanning) and Reiji Ho (intutive healing) as well learning the Japanese & Western hand positions.  These techniques will not only help to develop you intuitive healing abilities but will also help with your own self development and spiritual growth. The next Shoden course will take place in August 08.  The course costs £70 and includes lunch, a detailed manual, certificate and on going support.  Please contact me if you would like further information  ************* Okuden ~ Reiki 2nd Degree    The Okuden course is the practitioner level.  This course deepens your knowledge and connection to Reiki.  You will be given the 3 Reiki Symbols and Mantras to work with, enabling you to heal on an physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.  You will also learn about distance healing as well as being given further Japanese techniques to work with such as Kenuku Ho (dry bathing) & Koki Ho.
